Dear YAV Choristers and families
Our concert is fast approaching and we look forward to hosting all 6 choirs and our YAV community at Elder Hall for ‘A Winters Mosaic’, our combined choirs’ concert.
On the day of our concert, choirs will each do a stage rehearsal prior to the concert as well as a rehearsal for their combined piece. Younger choristers will have a room in Elder Hall to warm up in and go back to during break times. During the concert, all choirs will be in the audience together and will all be on stage for the final number. Please remind your child that as well as performing in their own bracket, they are expected to be a good audience member for the other choirs when they take to the stage.

WHAT TO WEAR
Please ensure that your costumes are sorted! YAV T-shirts are available from the office on Wednesday and Thursday evening at rehearsals. Please call in and see me if you have any questions or you think your costume needs to be checked.
| Junior Choir | Yellow YAV T-shirt, formal black pants (no track pants, jeans or leggings) polished black shoes and black socks | All choristers; no jewellery or nail polish. Earrings and piercings to be covered with skin-coloured band aids if you can’t take them out. Hair neatly off the face, plain coloureds hair ties and bobby pins (boys as well as girls) |

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHILD’S CHOIR
We need helpers on the day to support our staff and choir guardians. Please remember we are a not-for-profit organisation and require volunteers in order to be able to run these events. We require helpers for Kiss and Drop for the younger choirs, choir guardians to support the tutor for the day as well as front of house ushers. We would prefer all volunteers to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
We require the following:
4 volunteers for Junior Choir
4 volunteers for Intermediate Choir
2 volunteers for 2CC
2 Front of House staff/ushers

WHAT TO BRING
Wear your uniform with a warm jumper to rehearse and eat in! Bring non messy food for the day and a full water bottle. Your conductor will contact you if you need to bring your music. You may bring a quiet game/cards or a book for rest times. We discourage electronic devices and take no responsibility for them. Please label your belongings!

KISS AND DROP
Due to the new tram stop we can no longer use North Terrace for drop off for Elder Hall. However, there is a better option in the car park of the university which is under the plaza adjacent to Bonython Hall. Please turn left off North Terrace (going east) just past university tram stop into gate 23 (watch out for pedestrians) and follow round to the underground car park. There is one staircase at the far side which is where YAV volunteers in fluoro jackets will collect choristers to walk them to their guardians in Elder Hall. If coming from the east or south, you can come down Pultney St, turn right onto North Tce and immediately left through gate 23.
COLLECTION AFTER THE CONCERT
Collection for all choristers will be in the Elder Hall seating area, where they sit during the concert. Following the concert and once they have collected their belongings from their room, they will return to their seating area. PLEASE ENSURE THE GUARDIAN WITH THE ATTENDANCE ROLL HAS MARKED OFF YOUR CHILD BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Please also ensure your child is taking all of their belongings with them!

CONCERT – SUNDAY 25th JUNE 3:30pm – 6:00pm

You can print or show your ticket on your phone for entry to the concert. We will not be operating a box office on the day. Ticket sales will close on Saturday 24th June at 5pm.
Programs will be a gold coin donation as usual
No filming or photography will be permitted. This concert will be videoed for the choristers to watch back only, not for publication
We look forward to welcoming everyone to what will be a beautiful concert and an exciting day for our choristers as they are able to demonstrate everything they have been learning and to perform to what will hopefully be a large audience!

On Wednesday this week (after rehearsals) we will be selling Intermediate Choir performance T-shirts (orange) in the foyer.
New T-shirts are $35 each
Pre loved T-shirts are $15 each
If you already have a T-shirt and require a swap to another size – we can do a straight swap with another pre loved T-shirt if we have one in stock. Otherwise, we will reduce the cost of a new T-shirt by $15, bringing the cost down to $20.
Please note, we only have a few pre loved T-shirts in stock. They will be sold on a first come first saved basis.
We will not be accepting cash, but will instead invoice families for their T-shirt.
